The Mobility Monitor™ resident monitoring system enables doctors and nursing experts to significantly optimise several quality indicators in real time, in particular by preventing falls and pressure injuries as well as pain. Continuous analysis of patients’ movements, as well as when they get up and how they sleep, enables nursing staff to identify the necessary measures and precautions in good time and to adjust these dynamically as needed.

The Mobility Monitor provides real-time data for risk assessment in the case of new admissions. It creates an objective information basis for new admissions in order to check nursing measures and enables unnecessary actions to be applied selecively, all to the benefit of the patient.

Continuous monitoring and early detection of risks
A discreet sensor unit underneath the mattress detects the occupant’s slightest movements without any physical contact. Data on mobility, getting up, microactivity and sleep patterns are automatically transferred to the nursing station and analysed and displayed via live monitoring. Residents with increased risk are detected reliably and in good time.
Targetted intervention, effective pressure injury prevention
When connected to the nurse call system, the Mobility Monitor triggers a nurse call after a pre-set time without any relevant changes in position. This means your residents get to sleep better and will only be repositioned individually if it is really necessary.
Effective fall prevention
Thanks to 360° all-round protection and the early bed edge warning, the Mobility Monitor reliably detects every exit from the bed, regardless of the height and side from which your occupants leave their bed.
Clarification marker for delirium and pain
By measuring the slightest movements (microactivity) the resident’s rest or agitation can be visualised. The latter may indicate sleep disturbance, pain or delirium. The effect of prescribed drugs such as sedatives, analgesics and neuroleptics on mobility, getting up and sleep behaviour can be checked efficiently and adjusted if necessary.

How does the AMS mattress work?
The Active Mobilisation System is based on a mattress with normal lying characteristics. The mattress is supported by patented, active high-tech modules, with which your family member is continuously repositioned, barely perceptibly, from a position slightly on one side (turn of up to 20°) to the other side. In addition, the AMS mattress uniquely offers local pressure relief at critical body parts such as the sacrum and heels. Due to its’ unique operating principle
combining local pressure relief and turning the AMS is gentle on you, your loved one and is easy to use.
